You don’t have to hard reset to renew O p e r a’s t r i a l period. You can do the following:
delete the Application DataOpera folder and then reinstall Opera. This should reset your trial period.

Note: I found this on the Opera forum and since it hasn’t been deleted by the mods there, I’m guessing it’s okay to pass it on here.
